Frankenstein CookiesIn need of a cute cookie to bring to a Halloween party? Try these easy to make Freaky Frankenstein Cookies. Made with just a few ingredients you’ll have Freaky Frankenstein cookies ready to spook your guests in no time!

I happen to love Halloween parties, seeing  everyone dressed up is always fun. Seeing little kids trick or treating is especially fun, and I love feeling like a kid and baking some themed treats.

Being the super dork I am, I even edited some pictures to make them spooktacular lol.

But let’s get back to the cookies, shall we? The cookies are made with a sugar cookie base, and then are elevated by adding a little bit of mint extract and are topped with Andes creme de menth candies. The combination is a sweet green and minty cookie that is the perfect base for one to draw fun Frankenstein faces on. These cookies are perfect for your next Halloween party!

Serves: 24-36
  • 1 Pouch Sugar Cookies Mix (1 lb, 1.5 oz)
  • 1 Stick Butter
  • ¼ tsp Mint extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbs flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 drops green food color
  • 24 pieces Andes creme de menth candies
  • Black food frosting
  1. In a microwave safe bowl microwave a stick of butter for 30 seconds. Next add egg, extracts, food color and stir together, then add the mix and flour and combine well. On a piece of plastic wrap lay out the dough in a row, wrap the plastic around it and form it into a square log. Put in the freezer for 30-45 minutes shaping the square log every 10-20 minutes if needed.
  2. Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper. Take log out of the freezer and cut into ¼ inch thick slices and place on the lined baking sheet. Put an unwrapped piece of Andes candies on the top of the square and lightly push down. Bake for 12 minutes and take out of the oven and allow to cool completely. With black frosting create decorations and facial expressions of Frankenstein and enjoy!
